BAKED RED SNAPPER WITH GARLIC

RED SNAPPER is a delicious fish that delivers many different health benefits. This versatile fish can be prepared in a variety of different ways. Here's an easy recipe that combines the savory taste of Worcestershire and garlic with a little Cajun kick.


INGREDIENTS

2Sea Best® snapper fillets, 6 to 8 ounces each
4tablespoons butter
1medium clove garlic, pressed or minced
3 or 4drops Worcestershire sauce
1/2teaspoon Creole or Cajun seasoning, or your own favorite seasoning blend, with salt
1/8teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1 to 2teaspoons minced fresh parsley
1teaspoon snipped fresh or frozen chives, optional
3 to 4tablespoons plain or seasoned bread crumbs
2tablespoon freshly grated Parmesan cheese, optional

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • Spray baking dish with butter-flavor spray and place snapper fillets inside.
  • In a skillet, melt butter with garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Creole seasoning blend, pepper, parsley and chives (optional).
  • Cook on low for 2 minutes to blend flavors.
  • Brush both sides of fish fillets with the butter and herb mixture.
  • Toss bread crumbs in the remaining butter mixture and sprinkle over the fillets.
  • Bake for 12 minutes, until fish flakes easily and is no longer translucent
  • Top with Parmesan cheese before serving (optional).
